Lawrence University vs. Northland College at MCHA Tournament (February 24, 2001)
The Vikings defeated the Lumberjacks 5-3 in the third-place game
Final Season Record: 4-20-1, 3-10-1 MCHA
The Vikings scored the game's final four goals to beat the Lumberjacks. Lawrence trailed 2-0 in the first period until Matt Melchiori scored at the 14:08 mark. After Northland scored to go up 3-1, Andy Gillies scored at the 17:44 mark of the second period to trim the lead to 3-2. Tom Conti tied it up for Lawrence just 13 seconds into the third period on a power play goal. Lawrence took the lead for good on Conti's unassisted goal at 14:15. Mike Vernon added an empty-net goal to round out the scoring. Grant Henderson made 23 saves to get the win for the Vikings.
Lawrence University vs. University of Minnesota-Crookston at MCHA Tournament (February 23, 2001)
The Golden Eagles defeated the Vikings 7-3 in a semifinal game

The Vikings play in the third-place game Saturday, February 24, at 5 p.m. at the Blueline Ice Center in Fond du Lac against Northland College, which lost 7-6 in overtime to Marian College in the other semifinal. Marian and Crookston meet for the tournament title at 8 p.m. today. The Vikings played the Golden Eagles to a draw for half of the game. The game was tied 1-1 after the first period, as Tom Conti scored for the Vikings. Mike Kennedy scored on an assist from Conti to put the Vikings up 2-1, but Crookston then scored six unanswered goals to seal the victory.

The Vikings qualify for the MCHA Tournament, which will be played Friday and Saturday, February 23-24, at the Blueline Family Ice Center in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. The Vikings face the University of Minnesota-Crookston in one semifinal at 5 p.m., and Marian College takes on Northland College in the other semifinal at 8 p.m. on Friday. The winners meet for the championship Saturday at 8 p.m. The third-place game will be played Saturday at 5 p.m.
