Midwest Conference Championships at Knox College (March 2-3, 2001)
The Lawrence men finished sixth with 37 points and claimed an individual championship for the Vikings. Monmouth won the title with 141 points.

Don Smith won the 800 meters in 1 minute, 59.69 seconds to pace the Vikings. Jumuah Harden grabbed second in the triple jump with a leap of 45 feet, 9.75 inches and was third in the long jump with a distance of 22-3. Josh Cross placed seventh in the 3,000 in 9:07.21 and eighth in the 5,000 in 16:25.57. Josh Meyer took sixth in the high jump with a leap of 5-10 and was ninth in the 200 in 24.00 seconds. Among the relay teams, Lawrence was fourth in the 1,600 sprint medley relay in 3:39.67, fourth in the 800 relay in 1:34.10, fifth in the distance medley relay in 10:49.44, and fifth in the 1,600 relay in 3:32.19.

The Lawrence women were fifth with 45 points. Carroll won the title with 164 points.

Shelley Ebert led Lawrence by winning the 800 meters in 2:19.07, setting a school record in the process.

Valerie Curtis grabbed two top-four finishes by placing second in the 3,000 in 10:51.72 and fourth in the 5,000 in 19:19.77. Sarah Slivinski was seventh in the high jump at 4-10, was seventh in the triple jump at 33-1, took ninth in the long jump at 15-11.5, and was ninth in the 55 hurdles in 9.79 seconds.

Christie Balch grabbed ninth in the 200 in 27.54 and tenth in the 55 meters in 7.83 seconds. Katy Roll placed sixth in the 1,500 in 5:00.98, and Lisa Tranel was ninth in the same event in 5:16.29. Julie Liebich was ninth in the 3,000 in 11:21.83 and tenth in the 5,000 in 20:08.58. Jess Moser was tenth in the 200 in 28.01, and Dana Thuecks was tenth in the 800 in 2:32.94. Katy Henson took tenth in the high jump at 4-8. The distance medley relay team led by way by taking second in 12:42.4. The 1,600 sprint medley relay was second in 4:16.88, the 1,600 relay was third in 4:12.69, and the 800 relay was seventh in 1:59.69.

University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Invitational (February 24, 2001)
Valerie Curtis led Lawrence by claiming the lone first-place finish for both the men's and women's teams. Curtis won the 3,000 meters in 10 minutes, 58.2 seconds, and teammate Julie Liebich was ninth in 11:41.92.

Other top finishers for the women were: Christie Balch (second, 200, 27.33), Shelley Ebert (third, 800, 2:19.34), Katy Rolle (seventh, mile, 5:28.62), Sarah Slivinski (ninth, high jump, 4 feet, 9 1/2 inches), and the 1,600 relay (fourth, 4:07.35).

The Lawrence men were paced by Josh Cross, who placed fifth in the mile in 4:28.21. Other top men's finishers were: Ken Leising (ninth, triple jump, 38-4 3/4), Eric Davis (tenth, 800, 2:02.82), and the 1,600 relay (fourth, 3:33.17)

University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Invitational (February 10, 2001)
The Lawrence men were sixth with 24 points. Jumuah Harden paced the Vikings by taking second in the triple jump with a leap of 43 feet, 7 inches, fourth in the long jump with a distance of 20-9 1/4 and 12th in the high jump with a leap of 5-10 1/2. Josh Meyer placed 12th in the 200 meters in 24.27 seconds and grabbed 11th in the high jump with a leap of 6-0 1/2. Tony Bouressa was 13th in the weight throw with a toss of 32-0 1/4 and was 14th in the shot put with a distance of 35-1 1/4.

Kyle Lively was tenth in the 400 meters in 58.73 seconds. Ross Nelson grabbed 13th in the 800 meters in 2:05.27. Josh Cross placed 12th in the 3,000 in 9:04.17, and Brandon Brown was 13th in the long jump with a distance of 16-11 1/4. The men's distance medley relay team was second in 10:44.91, and the 1,600 relay team was sixth in 3:58.55.

The Lawrence women were fifth with 28 points.

Shelley Ebert grabbed second in the 400 meters in 61.12 seconds. Valerie Curtis was third in the 3,000 in 11:05.32. Lisa Tranel placed sixth in the mile in 5:42.39. Sarah Slivinski was ninth in the triple jump at 31-1 1/4. Dana Theucks was tenth in the 800 in 2:34.54. Erin Moede was tenth in the high jump at 4-7 1/2. Jess Moser was 11th in the 200 in 28.76 seconds. Lawrence's distance medley relay team grabbed second in 13:04.07.

Pointer Invitational at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (February 2, 2001)
Katy Roll took home the only win for Lawrence, capturing the 1-mile run in 5:22.80. Shelley Ebert placed second in the 1,000 meter run in 3:06.54. Also placing for Lawrence were Christie Balch in the 200 meters, Lisa Tranel in the 800 meters, Valerie Curtis in the 5,000 meters, Betsy Moyer in the 200-meter hurdles, Sarah Slivinski in the indoor pentathlon, and the 800- and 1,600-meter relay teams.

Jumuah Harden turned in another solid performance for the men. He placed third in the triple jump with a leap of 44 feet, 4 inches and placed eighth in the long jump. Ross Nelson placed seventh in the 400 meters, Don Smith was eighth in the 600 meters, and the 800 meter relay team finished fourth. The women's team scored 35 points en route to an eighth-place finish. The men scored 15 and placed tenth.

Blugold Invitational at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (January 26, 2001)
Shelley Ebert won the only event for Lawrence. She finished the 800 meters in 2:21.85. Other top women's finishers included the 1,600 relay team placing third, Christie Balch taking fourth in the 200 meters in 28.21, Julie Liebich placing fourth in the 1,500 meters in 5:29.76, Sarah Slivinski taking fourth in high jump at 4-09.5, Jess Moser finishing fifth in 200 meters, Roll Katy placing fifth in 800 meters, Valerie Curtis taking fifth in 3,000 meters, and Betsy Moyer finishing fifth in the 55-meter high hurdles.

Jumuah Harden led the men's team by placing second in the triple jump with a jump of 44 feet, 4 inches and third in the long jump, jumping 20-5.25. Other top finishers for the men were Josh Meyer, who took sixth in the 200 meters in 24.50, Josh Cross, who was sixth in the 3,000 meters in 9:14.32, and the 1,600 meter relay team, which placed fourth in 3:45.81. The women's and men's teams both finished fourth with 36 and 20 points, respectively.
