Midwest Conference Championships at Grinnell College (May 12-13)

The Lawrence women finished in seventh place with 42 points and the Lawrence men were ninth with 36 points. The top finishers for the Vikings were Joy Manweiler (second, 10,000 meters, 40:16.70) and Tatiana Bulat (second, triple jump, 35-3). Rebecca Glon took fourth in the pole vault and broke her own school record by clearing 10-2. Colleen Detjens placed in two events for the women, taking fifth in the 800 (2:25.85) and seventh in the 1,500 (5:09.43). On the men's side, Derek Micke was the top finisher, as he took third in the 100 (11.26), and he also placed seventh in the long jump (21-1.25). James Hahn placed in the 400 hurdles (fourth, 56.32), 110 hurdles (sixth, 16.77), and triple jump (seventh, 42-0.25). The 400-meter relay team of Micke, Adrell Bullock, Andy Belter, and Chris McFarlane took third in 43.68 seconds.

University of Wisconsin Twilight (May 6)

Phil Keith took third in the 300-meter steeplechase (10:20.68) and James Hahn was fifth in the 400 hurdles (55.79) to highlight the men's performances. Tatiana Bulat grabbed seventh in the triple jump (35-3.75) and Rachel Lucas was seventh in the 3,000 steeplechase (12:42.84) on the women's side. Stephanie Kramer's throw of 115-5 broke the school record in the hammer throw.

Wisconsin Private College Championships at Wisconsin Lutheran College (April 29)

The Lawrence women took fifth, and the Viking men were sixth. Joy Manweiler won the 10,000, James Hahn took the 400 hurdles and the triple jump, and the men's 400 relay also won the title.

Elmhurst College Invitational (April 15)

Lawrence won four individual titles, with the women taking second place in the team standings and the men finishing fourth. Tatiana Bulat won the triple jump with a leap of 35 feet, 8 inches. She also grabbed third in the long jump (16-0.25), second in the 400-meter hurdles, and sixth in the javelin (62-11). Stephanie Kliethermes won the long jump (16-4.5) and took third in both the triple jump (32-5) an d100 meters (13.70). Joy Manweiler grabbed first in the 3,000 meters with a time of 10:19.30. On the men's side, Phil Keith won the 3,000 steeplechase in 10:28.30.

University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Invitational (April 8)

Rebecca Glon broke the school record in the pole vault, as both the women's and men's teams placed 10th in the overall standings. Glon cleared 9 feet, 6.25 inches, to break the mark of 9-1 set in 2004 by Mary Markowitz. On the men's side, Derek Micke paced the Vikings by taking second in the long jump with a leap of 21-4.
