Sophomore Andy Link led Lawrence University to a third-place finish at the Midwest Conference Championships May 7-8. The native of Rochester, Minn., took fourth place in the 36-hole event at Aldeen Golf Club in Rockford, Ill. By virtue of his finish, Link earned All-Midwest Conference honors for the second consecutive season. He carded an opening-round 81 in tough conditions on the par-72 layout. Link followed that up with a 76 for a 36-hole total of 157. The Vikings took third place with a team score of 647, 10 shots behind first-place Monmouth. Blake Nelson also earned all-conference honors by taking ninth place for the Vikings.
Kolade Agbaje-Williams
Track and Field
Kolade Agbaje-Williams placed in two events against a top-notch field of competitors at the University of Wisconsin Twilight Meet on May 8. Agbaje-Williams, a native of Evergreen Park, Ill., took third in the long jump with a leap of 22 feet, 1.5 inches. He also placed sixth in the triple jump with a leap of 44-4.75. Agbaje-Williams is a provisional qualifier in the long jump for the NCAA Division III Championships.
