Andrew Isaac helped the Lawrence University hockey team to weekend sweep of Marian College and picked up his second career shutout in the process. Isaac, a sophomore from Mississauga, Ontario, stopped 36 shots in Lawrence's 2-0 victory over the Sabres last Friday. Issac had the first shutout of his career in December 2003, a 1-0 win over Marian. He followed up Friday's great performance by stopping 41 shots in a 5-2 win over Marian on Saturday. Isaac, who was named the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association Player of the Week, improved his record on the season to 6-3-1. He has a 3.16 goals against average and is sixth in the nation with .925 save percentage.

Felice Porrata
Women's Basketball

Felice Porrata helped the Lawrence University women's basketball team to three victories this past week and passed the 1,000-point plateau in the process. Porrata, a senior from Glenview, Ill., became just the third player in women's basketball history to score 1,000 points. She passed the milestone in Lawrence's 79-56 win over Illinois College last Friday, as she scored 15 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. She started the week with 23 points and 13 rebounds in a 57-56 win over St. Norbert College. She finished with four points and four rebounds in a 72-45 win over Knox College in which she played only 11 minutes. Porrata also was chosen as the Midwest Conference Player of the Week.
