Claire Getzoff
Women's Basketball

Claire Getzoff became only the fourth player in Lawrence University women's basketball history to score 1,000 points, and she did it in a win at Grinnell College last Friday. The junior guard from Evanston, Ill., had a double-double with 11 points and 10 assists in the 93-80 win over Grinnell. She followed that with 20 points in an 82-69 loss at Lake Forest College the next day. Getzoff, who now has 1,025 points for her career, started her week with 15 points, nine rebounds, and five assists in a 52-43 win over Carroll College

Jason Holinbeck
Men's Basketball

Jason Holinbeck broke the school's single-game scoring record and was named the Midwest Conference Player of the Week after leading Lawrence University to a 3-0 record this past week. Holinbeck, a senior guard from Neenah, poured in 47 points in a 112-85 win at Grinnell College to break the record of 45, which was held by three players. He hit 21 of 25 shots from the floor and was 5 of 6 from the free-throw line. Holinbeck, a former star at Neenah High School, started his week with 23 points and seven rebounds in Lawrenceís 80-72 win over Carroll College last Tuesday. He capped the week with 14 points in a 70-51 rout at Lake Forest College last Saturday. For the three games, Holinbeck averaged 28 points and shot 75 percent (33-44) from the floor, including 69.2 percent (9-13) on 3-pointers.

Chris Sarasin
Men's Swimming

Chris Sarasin turned in a standout performance at the College of St. Catherine Invitational this past Saturday. Sarasin, a senior from Marquette, Mich., won three events and swam on a winning relay. The former standout at Marquette High School won the 200-yard individual medley in 2:06.75 and took the 400 individual medley in 4:37.06. He also captured the 1,650 freestyle in 18:08.10. Sarasin, who was chosen as the Midwest Conference Swimmer of the Week, swam on the winning 400 freestyle relay team, which posted a time of 3:22.35. He also swam on the second-place 200 freestyle relay team. Led by his effort, Lawrence took second place in the team standings.
