Junior forward Chris Braier led Lawrence University to a pair of victories against visiting conference foes this past weekend and topped the 1,000-point plateau in the process. The Wauwatosa native Braier scored 18 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, handed out four assists and recorded five steals in Lawrenceís 70-60 win over Monmouth last Friday. He hit 6 of 12 shots from the floor, including 2 of 3 from beyond the 3-point arc. The following afternoon against Grinnell, the former Wauwatosa East High School standout scored 36 points, pulled down 13 rebounds, had four assists and added five steals in Lawrenceís 104-88 win. Braier was 15 of 18 from the floor against the Pioneers. For the two games, Braier averaged 27 points and 12.5 rebounds while shooting 70 percent (21-30) from the floor. Braier became the 17th player in Lawrence history to reach 1,000 points.

Men's Swimming
Senior Chris Perry won two events to lead Lawrence University to second place at the Wisconsin Private College Championships this past Saturday. The native of Mission, Kan., won the 100-yard butterfly in 54.84 seconds and won the 200 freestyle in 1:50.30. Perry also placed third in the 100 freestyle and swam on Lawrenceís second-place 200 freestyle relay team. Perry, who was a prep standout at Shawnee Mission High School, was chosen for the all-state team that is picked by coaches at the meet.
