Doug Coe
Baseball

Doug Coe was a one-man wrecking crew for Lawrence University during this past week. Coe started all six of Lawrenceís games and hit a blistering .571. The sophomore catcher from Appleton was 12-for-21 with three doubles, four home runs and nine runs batted in. Two of the homers he hit were incredibly long. In Wednesdayís doubleheader with No. 16 UW-Oshkosh, he hit a homer to left-center that missed clearing the scoreboard at Fox Cities Stadium by about 10 feet. On Saturday against Ripon, he hit another bomb to left-center that cleared the fence by about 75 feet. The former standout at Appleton North High School compiled a 1.286 slugging percentage for the week and a .609 on-base percentage. He threw out 2 of 4 runners attempting to steal and didnít make an error in 28 chances.

James Hahn
Track and Field

James Hahn won one event and placed in another to lead Lawrence University to second place at the Wisconsin Private College Championships at Ripon College. The junior from Madison won the 400-meter hurdles in 56.87 seconds, and he took third in the 110-meter hurdles in 16.80 seconds. Lawrence was second to Carthage College in the 10-team field.

Lauren Kost
Softball

Lauren Kost won both games of Saturdayís doubleheader with Carroll College to give Lawrence University the North Division title for the third time in four years. In the opener, the senior pitcher from Carol Stream, Ill., struck out seven and didnít walk a batter in Lawrenceís 2-1 victory. In the nightcap, she tossed her fourth one-hit shutout of the season in Lawrenceís 2-0 win. She struck out three and didnít walk a batter. For the week, the former standout at Glenbard North High School was 2-1 with a 1.59 earned run average while striking out 16 and walking none.
