Men's Track
The Lawrence University men's track team turned in its best performance at the Midwest Conference Championships in nearly 20 years this past weekend. The Vikings took fourth place in the team standings, which was Lawrence's best finish since 1986. Lawrence had a number of great performances, led by Kolade Agbaje-Williams and James Hahn. Agbaje-Williams placed in four events, and Hahn placed in three. Agbaje-Williams was second in the long jump (22 feet, 1 inch), fourth in the triple jump (44-4), fifth in the high jump (5-8.5), and eighth in the 400 meters (52.22 seconds). Hahn took second in the 400 hurdles (56.09), third in the 110-meter hurdles (16.27 seconds), and sixth in the triple jump (42-7.5). Other top performances on the men's side included: Phil Keith (fourth, 3,000 steeplechase), 400 relay (third), Chris McFarlane (fifth, 100), Kyle Hewitt (sixth, 800), David Quinlan (seventh, 800), Steve Geisthardt (third, 400 hurdles), Mitch Goodman (eighth, 5,000; seventh, 10,000), 1,600 relay (fifth), Aaron Guigar (eighth, pole vault), and Nate Semenak (fifth, triple jump).
