James Hahn broke Lawrence University's record
in the decathlon while competing in the Augustana (Ill.) College Twilight
Meet on May 19-20. Hahn, a junior from Madison, finished with 5,331 points,
breaking Sam Buckett's 2002 record of 5,295. Hahn took third in the 100 meters
(11.85 seconds), second in the long jump (19 feet, 9 inches), third in the
shot put (34-1.5), fifth in the high jump (5-1), fourth in the 400 (53.50),
third in the 110 hurdles (17.24), fourth in the discus (92-8), third in the
pole vault (10-6), fifth in the javelin (136-5), and third in the 1,500 (4:59.41).
