Adrell Bullock
Football
Adrell Bullock broke a Lawrence record Saturday in the Vikings' 30-7 victory over Knox. The sophomore halfback from Chicago turned in a 91-yard touchdown run broke the record for longest run from scrimmage, which was 80 yards (held by Jason Richards vs. Monmouth in 1992 and Brad Olson vs. St. Norbert in 1995). On second-and-16 from the Lawrence 9-yard line, Bullock took the delayed handoff, broke left and outran the defense for the touchdown. Bullock finished with career highs in carries (19) and yards (127).
Colleen Detjens
Cross Country
Colleen Detjens led the Lawrence women's cross country team to second place at the St. Norbert College Invitational this past Saturday. A sophomore from Lisle, Ill., Detjens finished in fifth place overall. She covered the 5,000-meter course in 20 minutes, 36 seconds. The Vikings finished with 63 points, four points behind first-place St. Norbert.
Tyler Krzewina
Football
Sophomore safety Tyler Krzewina was a key to Lawrence's 30-7 victory over Knox on Saturday. Krzewina had an interception, broke up two passes in the end zone, recorded a sack, had five tackles, and forced a fumble that led to Lawrence's first touchdown. Krzewina, a native of Kaukauna, picked up his sixth career interception in the fourth quarter. Earlier, he batted away what looked to be a pair of sure touchdown passes when the game was still in doubt. Krzewina also sacked Knox quarterback Anthony McClenathan in the first quarter and forced a fumble, which was recovered by Lawrence. The Vikings scored a touchdown on the next play to take a 7-0 lead.
