Matt Wolin
Men's Soccer
Lawrence University men's soccer standout Matt Wolin wins the award for the second consecutive week following two more shutout performances. Wolin, a junior goalkeeper from Highland Park, Ill., recorded his first collegiate shutout back on Sept. 26 vs. Edgewood College. Wolin followed that up with two more this past weekend. Wolin made five saves on Saturday in a 4-0 win at Knox College. He then made three saves on Sunday in a 1-0 win at Grinnell College. Give a lot of credit to defenders Brett Suhayda, Brian Harks, Cris Salvati, and Brendan Marshall-Rashid for Wolin's outstanding numbers over the past week. For the season, Wolin has a 1.33 goals against average and .811 save percentage. Wolin was chosen as the Midwest Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.
