Women's Soccer

Emily Buzicky scored four goals for the Lawrence University women's soccer team in its 9-1 victory at Ripon College this past Saturday. The goals were consecutive and covered a span of 13 minutes, 20 seconds, in the first half. She scored unassisted at 9:35 to give Lawrence a 2-0 edge. Buzicky, a senior from St. Paul, Minn., struck again only 40 seconds later off a pass from Greta Raaen. She made it 4-0 Lawrence at 12:51 with another unassisted goal. Buzicky completed her scoring extravaganza at 22:55 when she hammered home Raaen's rebound to put Lawrence ahead 5-0. The four goals in a game is tied for the third-most in school history. For the season, Buzicky has six goals for 12 points.

Rodrigo Gomes
Men's Soccer

Rodrigo Gomes picked up a goal and an assist in the Lawrence University men's soccer team's 3-2 victory at Ripon College this past Saturday. Gomes, a sophomore from Buenos Aires, Argentina, got the scoring started with a penalty kick at the 7 minute, 55 second, mark. Gomes later passed to Ryan Pikna, who scored what proved be the game-winning goal at 62:14. For the season, Gomes leads the team with six goals and four assists for 16 points.
