Women's Basketball
The Lawrence University women's basketball team gets the honor this week after posting at 59-56 victory over the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, the fourth-ranked team in the nation, in the championship game of the Pointer Tip-Off Classic. Felice Porrata scored 20 points and was named the tournament MVP. Claire Getzoff and Jenny Stoner also were named to the all-tournament team. This win marks the highest-ranked opponent Lawrence has ever defeated.
