Dan Evans led the Lawrence University men's basketbal team to a hard-fought 52-46 victory at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh this past Saturday. The senior point guard from Cary, Ill., scored a season-high 17 points in No. 10 Lawrence's win over No. 17 UW-Oshkosh. The former star at Cary Grove High School hit 6 of 7 shots from the floor, grabbed four rebounds, handed out three assists, and had two steals. The biggest shot of the night came in the waning seconds. With Lawrence holding a 46-44 lead, Evans hit a high-arcing shot over Oshkosh's 7-foot-1 center with 24 seconds left to help seal the victory.

Women's Basketball
Felice Porrata helped the Lawrence University women's basketball team to a split in its two games in Texas this past weekend. The senior forward from Glenview, Ill., averaged a double-double for the two games with 18.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per contest. She scored 16 points and grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds in Lawrence's 78-65 loss to No. 9 Trinity (Texas) University. Porrata scored a game-high 21 points and pulled down eight rebounds in Lawrence's 69-61 victory at Texas Lutheran University. For the season, Porrata is averaging 14.3 points and 6.0 rebounds per game.
