Men's Basketball

Keven Bradley came up big late in the game to lead Lawrence to a 64-59 win over Vanguard University at the Surf City Classic on Dec. 30. Bradley scored 10 of his 13 points in the final 5:14 to spark the Vikings. He hit 4 of 9 shots from the floor, including 3 of 6 from beyond the 3-point line. The senior guard from Omro also scored four points in only 15 minutes of action in Lawrence's 92-39 rout of Goucher College on Dec. 29. The former Omro High School standout is averaging 9.4 points per game this season.

Chris Braier
Men's Basketball

Chris Braier averaged 17.5 points and 10.5 rebounds at the Surf City Classic and led Lawrence to a 2-0 record at the tournament. The senior forward from Wauwatosa scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds in only 17 minutes of action in Lawrence's 92-39 win over Goucher College on Dec. 29. Braier, a former standout at Wauwatosa East High School, then scored 19 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in Lawrence's 64-59 win over NAIA Division I opponent Vanguard University on the Lions' home court on Dec. 30. Braier, also named the Midwest Conference Player of the Week, now has 1,289 points for his career and moved past Adam LaVoy (1,273) for third place on Lawrence's career scoring list.

Ben Dictus
Wrestling

Ben Dictus grabbed second place at the Citrus Open on Dec. 30. Wrestling at 184 pounds, the senior from Kimberly beat Ray Moore of Rhode Island 13-2 in his opening match. The former Kimberly High School star then pinned Ray Martin of St. John's in 4:10 in the quarterfinals. Dictus then beat fifth-ranked Mike Troutman of Ursinus 3-1 in the semifinals. Seventh-ranked Dan Willaert of St. John's defeated Dictus 5-2 in the championship match.
