Ryan Kroeger
Men's Basketball

Ryan Kroeger came off the bench to lead Lawrence University to a pair of road victories this weekend. In Friday's 75-68 victory at Monmouth, the freshman guard from Glendale scored 16 points in only 19 minutes of action. He hit 5 of 9 shots from the floor, including 2 of 2 on 3-pointers. He also hit all four free throws he attempted. In Saturday's 98-79 win at Grinnell, the former star at Nicolet High School scored a game-high 31 points. He was 13 of 18 from the floor, 1 of 1 on 3-pointers and 4 of 4 from the foul line. In the two games, he averaged 23.5 points while shooting 66.7 percent from the field (18-27), 1.000 percent on 3-pointers (3-3) and 1.000 percent from the foul line (7-7).

Steve Vander Naalt
Swimming

Steve Vander Naalt won one event and placed second in another to lead Lawrence University to second place at the Wisconsin Private College Championships. The native of Carol Stream, Ill., won the 200-yard backstroke in 2:06.19 and grabbed second in the 100 backstroke in 57.54 seconds. Vander Naalt, a former standout at West Chicago High School, also placed fourth in the 200 individual medley in 2:07.47.

Hayley Vatch
Swimming

Hayley Vatch took first in one event and placed second in another to lead Lawrence to second place at the Wisconsin Private College Championships. The former star at York High School won the 1,650-yard freestyle in 18:39.27 and was second in the 500 freestyle in 5:29.62. Vatch, a native of Elmhurst, Ill., also took fifth in the 200 freestyle in 2:09.10.
