Andy Hurley
Men's Basketball
Andy Hurley made his debut as a starter for Lawrence University, and he made it count. The sophomore forward from Kimberly was starting in place of an ill Matt Osland at center. Hurley scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds in a 70-46 victory over Knox College. He followed that up by scoring a career-high 15 points in an 85-52 win over Illinois College. The former Kimberly High School star averaged 13.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in the two games. He shot 61.1 percent (11-18) from the floor and hit all five of his free-throw attempts. On the season, Hurley is averaging 6.0 points and 3.2 rebounds per contest.
Andrew Isaac
Hockey
Andrew Isaac was superb in the nets as Lawrence University took three points at Finlandia University in a Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association series last weekend. In Saturday's 5-1 win at Finlandia, Isaac made 39 saves. The Mississauga, Ontario, native followed that up with 37 saves in a 4-4 overtime tie with the Lions on Sunday. In the two games, Isaac made 76 saves, had a .938 save percentage and a 2.40 goals against average. On the season, Isaac improved to 5-6-3, lowered his goals against average to 3.30, and improved his save percentage to .906.
