Steve Vander Naalt

Steve Vander Naalt won a pair of conference titles and was part of a winning relay team at the Midwest Conference Championships this past weekend. Vander Naalt, a senior from Carol Stream, Ill., won the 100-yard backstroke in 53.96 seconds. He also swam to the title in the 200 backstroke in 1:59.75. Vander Naalt, a former star at West Chicago Community High School, teamed with Adam Kolb, Kyle Griffin, and Patrick McCrory to capture the title in the 800 freestyle relay with a time of 7:15.12. Led by Vander Naalt's efforts, the Vikings finished second in the team standings.
Jeff Brown
Men's Swimming
Jeff Brown captured one championship and took second in another event at the Midwest Conference Championships this past weekend. Brown, a freshman from Oshkosh, won the 3-meter diving with a score of 422.60 points. The former Neenah High School standout also placed second in the 1-meter diving with the same 422.60 point total. Brown helped the Vikings take second place in the team standings.
