Keven Bradley
Men's Basketball
Keven Bradley's basket at the buzzer lifted Lawrence University to its third consecutive Midwest Conference championship. Bradley, a senior guard from Omro, scored the game's final hoop as time expired to give the Vikings a 64-63 victory at Carroll College last Wednesday. With 3.4 seconds left and the Vikings trailing by a point, Lawrence inbounded the ball from the sideline. Kyle MacGillis took a pair of dribbles before passing to a wide-open Bradley, who laid the ball in from under the basket. Bradley went 4-for-6 from the floor and finished the game with nine points. The former Omro High School star added five points this past Saturday in Lawrence's 67-52 win over St. Norbert College. The victory over Carroll clinched a third straight undisputed Midwest Conference title for the Vikings.
Rebecca Glon
Women's Track and Field
Lawrence University standout Rebecca Glon broke a school record and was named the Midwest Conference Field Performer of the Week. Glon, a senior from Roscoe, Ill., broke the school record in the pole vault with a jump of 9 feet, 6.5 inches, at this past Saturday's University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Invitational. Glon, a former standout at Hononegah High School, broke the record of 9-4, which was set in 2004 by Mary Markowitz.
