Week of October 24-30, 2005

Eric Aspenson
Football

Lawrence University football standout Eric Aspenson turned in a stellar performance against Lake Forest College and was named the Midwest Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Aspenson, a junior quarterback from Rockford, Ill., tied the school record with four touchdown passes in Lawrence's 52-20 win over the Foresters. Aspenson finished 16 of 27 passing for 241 yards. He also ran the ball 13 times for 63 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns. The four touchdown passes ties the record Aspenson, a former star at Rockford Lutheran High School, holds with five other quarterbacks. Aspenson is the only player to have pulled off the feat three times.

Tyler Krzewina
Football

Tyler Krzewina spearheaded a great defensive effort by the Lawrence University football team in a 52-20 win over Lake Forest College. Krzewina, a junior safety from Kaukauna, had a team-high 12 tackles, including three tackles for loss, in the victory. The former Kaukauna High School star also recorded a pass breakup when he jarred the ball loose from a Lake Forest receiver with a bone-crunching hit. Led by Krzewina, the Vikings limited the Forester to only 142 total yards through the first three quarters. By that time, Lawrence had built an insurmountable 49-7 edge.
