Claire Getzoff led Lawrence to the championship at the Lakeland College Tip-Off Tournament and was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. The senior guard from Evanston, Ill., avearged 19 points in the two games while shooting 50 percent (15-30) from the floor. The former standout at Evanston Township High School had 21 points and six steals in a 67-60 win over Clarke College in the semifinals. Getzoff followed that with 17 points in a 63-45 win over Cornell College in the title game.
