John Budi posted a 3-0 record on the week to improve to 16-6 on the season and edge closer to the 100-win plateau. Budi, a 174-pounder who ranks seventh on Lawrence's career wins list with a record of 97-42, started his week with a 6-2 win over UW-Stevens Point's Dennis Reckelberg on Jan. 30. The Kimberly, Wis., native then picked up a pair of wins at the Concordia (Wis.) Triangular on Feb. 2. He pinned Maranatha Baptist's Joel Smith in 1:15 and finished the night with a 7-4 victory over Concordia's Steve McCullough.

Women's Indoor Track
Madeline Steininger won one event and placed in three others at the University
of Chicago Duals on Feb. 3. Steininger, who was named the Midwest Conference
Field Performer of the Week, won the high jump when she cleared 4 feet, 11
inches. The freshman from New Berlin, Wis., grabbed fourth in the 55-meter
hurdles in 9.70 seconds. She also placed seventh in the 200 meters in 28.61
seconds and was seventh in the long jump with a leap of 15-1.25.
