Women's Track and Field
     Tatiana Bulat placed in three events and anchored a relay team for Lawrence 
    at the Midwest Conference Indoor Championships on March 2-3. The sophomore 
    from Madison, Wis., grabbed third in the triple jump with a leap of 34 feet, 
    2.25 inches, and that was the highest placing for anyone on the women's team 
    at the championships. She also took eighth in the long jump at 15-1.5 and 
    ran to eighth place in the 55-meter hurdles in 10.22 seconds. She also ran 
    the anchor leg on Lawrence's 800-meter relay team.

David Quinlan
Men's Track and Field
     David Quinlan had the top finish for Lawrence at the Midwest Conference Indoor Championships on March 2-3. The senior from Appleton, Wis., ran to third place in the 800 meters in 2:00.29. He played a key role on three relay teams. He led off the distance medley relay, which took second in 10:47.51. Quinlan anchored the sprint medley relay, which grabbed third in 3:40.77, and he ran the fastest split on the sixth-place 1,600-meter relay, which finished in 3:38.75.
