Alex Goodson
Softball

Alex Goodson turned on the power during the Midwest Conference Classic on April 15-16. In five games against South Division opponents, Goodson batted a team-high .429 and belted three homers, a double, and a triple. She drove in eight runs in the five games and had a 1.286 slugging percentage. A freshman from Plainfield, Ill., Goodson hit a two-run homer in Lawrence's 8-0 win over Monmouth, smacked a solo shot in a 17-9 loss to Lake Forest, and belted a grand slam in Lawrence's 10-1 win over Knox. The grand slam was the first in the 14-year tenure of head coach Kim Tatro. On the season, Goodson is batting .367 with three doubles, three triples, four homers, and 25 runs batted in.

Alex Fritsch
Baseball

Alex Fritsch turned in some sparkling work out of the bullpen and picked up his first win of the season. In 10 innings, Fritsch had a 0.00 earned run average. The sophomore from Atlanta, Ga., allowed only five hits, struck out five, walked four, and the opposition hit only .152 against him. Fritsch started the week by tossing five innings of scorless relief against Beloit on April 9, and then tossed another scoreless inning against UW-La Crosse on April 13. Fritsch thenw worked four innings of one-hit relief to pick up a win on April 15 against Finlandia. For the season, he is 1-1 with a 4.67 ERA.

Catherine Marinac
Softball

Catherine Marinac tossed a one-hit shutout and posted a 2-2 record at the Midwest Conference Classic on April 15-16. The junior from St. Paul, Minn., allowed only a single in Lawrence's 8-0 win over Monmouth, and it was the second one-hitter of her career. She allowed one hit in a 10-1 win over MSOE last season. At the MWC Classic, Marinac pitched 26 innings, struck out 18, walked 10 and opponents hit only .224 against her. She came out of the weekend with a 0.54 earned run average. On the season, she is 7-5 with a 1.88 ERA.

Tim O'Toole
Baseball

Tim O'Toole batted a sizzling .533 in five games and improved his season average to .467. O'Toole went 8-for-15 with two doubles and a triple from the lead-off position in the order. He also swiped four bases and scored a trio of runs. The senior outfielder from Clintonville, Wis., posted a .650 on-base percentage and had an .800 slugging percentage for the week. He scored the game-winning run in a 9-8 extra-inning victory over Finlandia when he walked, stole second, and scored on Brad Hauser's run-scoring single.
