Women's Swmming
Heather Prochnow won one event, placed sixth in another and swam on three relays that finished in the top four at the UW-Oshkosh Invitational. The senior from Warrenville, Ill., won the 100-yard butterfly in 1:04.90 and took sixth in the 50 freestyle in 26.93 seconds. She also swam on the third-place 400 medley relay team (4:26.37), the fourth-place 200 medley relay (2:00.26), and the fourth-place 200 freestyle relay (1:47.89). Led by Prochnow, Lawrence placed second in the five-team meet to UW-Eau Claire.
Billy Siers
Hockey
Billy Siers helped account for five of Lawrence's six goals during a weekend series at Finlandia University. The freshman forward from Mount Prospect, Ill., scored two goals and picked up three assists for the Vikings. Siers, who leads all Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association rookies in overall scoring, was named the conference Freshman of the Week.
