Howe scored twice and handed out two assists in the Vikings' 6-3 victory on Feb. 8. Howe, who assisted on Lawrence's third goal of the evening, scored what proved to be the game-winning goal midway through the second period. With the Vikings holding a one-goal lead late in the game, he assisted on Nick Jennette's goal and then added the final tally himself with 1:25 left in the contest. Howe got the scoring started in Lawrence's 5-0 victory on Feb. 9. His short-handed goal late in the first period put the Vikings up 1-0. With Lawrence leading 3-0 midway through the second period, Howe scored an unassisted short-handed goal. The two short-handed goals set a school record for the most short-handed goals in a game.
