Kyle Griffin
Men's Swimming
Kyle Griffin won one championship and placed in two more events at the Midwest Conference Championships on Feb. 15-17. The junior from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, won the title in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 16:58.32. He also placed third in the 400 individual medley in 4:33.27 and grabbed fourth in the 500 freestyle in 4:55.25. Led by Griffin, Lawrence finished fourth in the team standings.
Hayley Vatch
Women's Swimming
Hayley Vatch successfully defended a pair of titles at the Midwest Conference Championships on Feb. 15-17 and broke three records in the process. Vatch won the 1,650-yard freestyle for a second consecutive season with a time of 17:49.25, which broke the conference, school, and Boldt Natatorium records. The junior from Elmhurst, Ill., also defended her title in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:14.47. She also finished second in the 200 freestyle in 1:59.13. Vatch powered the Vikings to a second-place finish in the team standings.
Julia Ziege
Women's Swimming
Julia Ziege won her first league title in the Midwest Conference Championships on Feb. 15-17. The sophomore from Madison, Wis., took the championship in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:01.83. Ziege helped the Vikings to a second-place finish in the team standings.
