Ryan Kroeger
Men's Basketball

Ryan Kroeger became the 19th player in Lawrence history to score 1,000 points when he passed the plateau in a game on Feb. 20. The junior guard from Glendale, Wis., scored 14 points in Lawrence's 69-61 win over St. Norbert to pass 1,000 points. He then scored 16 points in Lawrence's 92-80 victory at Carroll on Feb. 23 and now has 1,021 for his career. On the week, Kroeger hit 10 of 17 shots from the floor, including 4 of 9 from beyond the 3-point arc.

Tony Norton
Wrestling

Tony Norton paced the Lawrence wrestling team at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Feb. 24 with a third-place finish at 149 pounds. A junior from Carol Stream, Ill., lost a tough 6-4 decision to UW-Whitewater's Matt Schuck but rebounded to beat UW-Eau Claire's Andrew Johnston 7-5. Norton then defeated UW-Stevens Point's Kyle Mueller 4-0 in the third-place match. UW-Platteville's Ryan Higgins then defeated Norton 9-0 in the second-place match.

Madeline Steininger
Track and Field

Madeline Steininger broke her own school record and became a NCAA Division III provisional qualifier in the high jump at the UW-Stevens Point Invitational on Feb. 23. The sophomore from New Berlin, Wis., jumped 5 feet, 5 inches, to win the event and break her own school record of 5-3. She now is tied for the sixth-highest jump in the nation.
