Tim Salm
Baseball

Tim Salm put together an impressive spring break trip, as the Vikings played eight games in Phoenix, Ariz. The senior catcher from Cleveland, Wis., batted .407 with eight doubles, a triple, and 15 RBIs. He posted an impressive .778 slugging percentage, as the Vikings compiled a 3-5 record. Salm had three multi-hit games and three games in which he drove in at least three runs. In a 10-7 loss to Oberlin, he went 2-for-3 with four RBIs, two doubles, and two runs scored. He went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and five RBIs in a 10-9 win over Knox. He also went 2-for-2 with two doubles and three RBIs in a 15-4 win over Thomas. Salm compiled a .469 on-base percentage to give him an impressive 1.247 OPS.

Ray Tucker
Baseball

Ray Tucker batted a blistering .727 (8-for-11) during Lawrence's spring break trip to Phoenix, Ariz. The sophomore infielder from Marshall, Wis., also drove in four runs and swiped a base in five games. Tucker had two big games, going 3-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs in a win over Knox and going 3-for-4 with two RBIs in a loss to Colby.

Carrie Van Groll
Softball

Playing against top-flight competition in Tucson, Ariz., Carrie Van Groll batted a sparkling .483 in the first 10 games of Lawrence's season. The senior shortstop from Little Chute, Wis., also drove in four runs and was successful on both of her stolen-base tries. Van Groll had five multi-hit games and scored seven runs. Van Groll had a pair of hits in games against Kalamazoo, Simon Fraser, Eastern Oregon and twice against Gustavus Adolphus.
