Women's Track and Field

Tatiana Bulat won one event and placed in three others at the Ripon Invitational on May 3. The junior from Madison, Wis., won the triple jump with a leap of 33 feet, 11.5 inches. She also placed sixth in the long jump with a jump of 14-0.25. she also took third in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:14.36 and took fifth in the 100 hurdles in 18.55 seconds.

Nick Maxam
Men's Track and Field

Nick Maxam won the javelin at the Ripon Invitational on May 3 and topped his previous personal best by more than 18 feet in the process. The sophomore from Appleton, Wis., had a winning throw of 139 feet, 10 inches, which easily outdistanced his previous personal best of 121-9. This was Maxam's first collegiate victory in the javelin.

Tim Salm
Baseball

Tim Salm hit .500 (7-for-14) for the week and smacked three homers, including the first grand slam of his career. In a doubleheader sweep of Wisconsin Lutheran, the senior catcher from Cleveland, Wis., went 3-for-3 in the opener with three runs scored and seven RBIs. He hit a pair of homers in that contest, a three-run blast and a two-run shot. In the nightcap, Salm was 1-for-3 but his one hit was a grand slam. He finished the doubleheader 4-for-6 with four runs scored and 11 RBIs. In a doubleheader against Carroll on Sunday, Salm went 3-for-8 with a pair of runs scored. For the week, Salm had a 1.214 slugging percentage, as four of his seven hits went for extra bases.
