Kelly Mulcahy led the Lawrence to a 2-2 record at the Wisconsin Lutheran Invitational on Aug. 31-Sept. 1 and was named to the all-tournament team. The senior outside hitter from Glendale, Wis., paced the Vikings in kills in all four matches and led the team in digs as well. Mulcahy piled up 50 kills (3.85 per game) and had 65 digs (5.00 per game), as the Vikings defeated Wisconsin Lutheran and Alverno. Lawrence dropped decisions to North Park and North Central. Mulcahy hit personal highs for the weekend with 20 kills vs. Wisconsin Lutheran and 16 digs vs. North Park and North Central.
Clare Shinners
Cross Country
Clare Shinners turned in the best finish of her career at the St. Norbert Inviational on Sept. 1. The senior from Madison, Wis., took 11th place and ran the 5,000-meter course in 21 minutes, 25 seconds. Paced by Shinners' finish, the Vikings placed fifth in the team standings among the 12 squads.
