Kyle Gauthier picked off two passes in Lawrence's 22-18 win over Illinois College on Sept. 29. The freshman defensive back from Brillion, Wis., put the Vikings in excellent field position when he made a spectacular catch for an interception of Illinois College quarterback Pete Jennings at the Blueboys' 24-yard line in the second quarter. He then snuffed out an Illinois College drive by intercepting backup quarterback Mitch Niekamp at the Lawrence 5. They were the first two interceptions of Gauthier's career, and two of five made by the Vikings on the day.

Jeremy Reider

Jeremy Reider recorded his first career interception and touchdown, both on the same play, in Lawrence's 22-18 win over Illinois College on Sept. 29. The junior defensive tackle from Appleton, Wis., intercepted a short pass from Illinois College quarterback Pete Jennings at the IC 21-yard line and rumbled in for the touchdown that gave Lawrence a 17-7 lead in the second quarter. Reider finished the day with three tackles and was a key to limiting the Blueboys to 15 yards rushing on 24 carries.
