Erin Henzi was named to the all-tournament team at the RDV Sportsplex D3 Classic in Orlando, Fla. The senior forward from Brillion, Wis., averaged 20 points and five rebounds in the two games. She scored a career-high 27 points in Lawrence's 76-65 loss to Elmhurst on Dec. 16. She hit 10 of 18 shots from the floor, including 5 of 7 from 3-point range. She also handed out a game-high six assists and pulled down a team-high seven rebounds. Henzi scored a team-high 13 points in Lawrence's 66-40 loss to Carthage on Dec. 15. She hit 15 of 31 shots from the floor, including 5 of 8 from 3-point range, in the two games.
Sam Laes

Sam Laes took second place at 184 pounds at the Sunshine Classic in Orlando, Fla., on Dec. 28-29. The junior from Ashwaubenon, Wis., posted a 4-1 record, including a pin, in the tournament. Laes defeated unattached wrestler Brandon Tressler 15-5 in the opening round and followed that with a pin in 1:39 of New York University's Rudy DeLaCruz. He then beat Augsburg's Garret Long 17-4 in the quarterfinals and topped St. John's (Minn.) Kyle Schumm 9-6 in the semifinals. Another St. John's wrestler, Dustin Baxter, beat Laes 5-2 in the finals.
