Josh DeSmit helped Lawrence to a weekend sweep of Finlandia on Jan. 9-10 and did it in dramatic fashion. The sophomore forward from New Hope, Minn., was named the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association Player of the Week. DeSmit spearheaded Lawrence's 3-2 overtime victory on Jan. 10. He scored the game-tying goal late in the third period and then scored the game-winner with only 0.7 seconds left in overtime. DeSmit also added an assist in Lawrence's 3-1 victory on Jan. 9 and finished the weekend plus-four.

Jameson Raymond

Jameson Raymond picked up a goal and two assists in Lawrence's weekend sweep of Finlandia on Jan. 9-10 and was named the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association Defensive Player of the Week. The freshman defenseman from Flint, Mich., scored scored the game-tying goal in Lawrence's 3-1 victory on Jan. 9 and then added two assists in a 3-2 overtime win on Jan. 10. Raymond had an assist on Josh DeSmit's game-winning goal in overtime on Saturday. Raymond, who was plus-five for the weekend, also helped Lawrence penalty killers limit Finlandia to 1-for-13 on the power play in the two games.
