Marva Goodson

Marva Goodson won one event and placed second in another at the UW-Whitewater Invitational on Jan. 24 and was named the Midwest Conference Field Performer of the Week. A sophomore from Saginaw, Mich., Goodson won the long jump and took second in the 55 meters. Goodson took the long jump with a leap of 17 feet, 6 inches, which is the top performance in the long jump in the Midwest Conference this season. Goodson ran to second place in the 55 meters in 7.51 seconds, and that is the second-fastest time in the league this season.
Ryan Kroeger
Men's Basketball
Ryan Kroeger put together a pair of hot-shooting games and was named the Midwest Conference Player of the Week. The senior guard from Glendale, Wis., averaged 29.0 points while shooting an outstanding 81.5 percent (22-27) from the floor. Kroeger scored 28 points in Lawrence's 101-100 loss to Grinnell College on Jan. 23. Kroeger was a perfect 11-for-11 from the field. He was one basket shy of tying the school record of 12-for-12 shooting from the floor in a game. Kroeger also pulled down five rebounds and handed out six assists in the contest. Kroeger helped Lawrence bounce back from its loss to Grinnell with a game-high 30 points in a 95-70 victory against Monmouth College on Jan. 24. Kroeger was 11 of 16 from the floor, including 4 of 7 from beyond the arc.
