Frank Forseth
Baseball

Frank Forseth pitched Lawrence to a win over Ripon and had a good series at the plate against the Red Hawks. The senior from Oshkosh, Wis., went all nine innings in the opening game of the series to lead Lawrence to a 4-1 victory. He allowed only five hits, struck out seven, and didn't walk a batter. At the plate, Forseth batted .333 as he started the other three games in the field. Forseth had a pair of doubles and drove in two runs.

Emily Perish
Softball

Emily Perish went 2-0 on the week and was named the Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Week. A freshman from Frankfort, Ill., also fired her first collegiate shutout. Perish compiled a 0.51 earned run average in 13.2 innings on the week. She allowed only seven hits and opponents batted only .143 against her. In an 8-0 win over Beloit on April 4, Perish went the distance, allowing only three hits. She struck out three and walked two. She also tossed 1.2 innings of scoreless relief in the second game of the doubleheader against Beloit. In an 8-3 win over MSOE on April 2, she went the distance and allowed only three hits and one earned run.
