Cross country
Abby Fisher paced the Lawrence women's team with a 28th-place finish at the Midwest Conference Championships on Nov. 1. The sophomore from Long Grove, Ill., ran a time of 25:15.16, her third-fastest effort of her career at 6,000 meters. Fisher finished in 28th place to lead the Vikings to a seventh-place finish in the team standings.
David Zane
Cross country
David Zane had his best finish of the season and the second-fastest time of his career at the Midwest Conference Championships on Nov. 1. The sophomore from San Rafael, Calif., ran to a 25th-place finish in a time of 27:55.86 on the 8,000-meter course. Led by Zane, the Vikings finished seventh in the team standings.
