Laura Aerts
Women's Basketball

Laura Aerts turned in three fine performances for the Vikings during the course of the week. The senior guard from Kimberly, Wis., averaged 17.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.3 steals per game. Aerts shot 48.5 percent from the floor, including 50 percent from 3-point range, and 86.7 percent from the foul line. Against St. Norbert on Feb. 2, Aerts scored 13 points, grabbed three rebounds and picked up three steals. She then scored 16 points, pulled down three rebounds and make four steals against Illinois College on Feb. 5. Aerts finished her week with 23 points, seven rebounds and six steals against Knox on Feb. 6.

Erik Borresen
Men's Basketball

Erik Borresen was a force on offense and on the board in Lawrence's three games during the week. The junior center from West Bend, Wis., averaged 12.3 points and 9.7 rebounds while shooting 57.1 percent (16-28) from the floor. Borresen scored 11 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season in a 66-48 loss to St. Norbert on Feb. 2. He then scored 10 points and grabbed nine rebounds in an 80-61 win over Illinois College on Feb. 5. Borresen followed that with 16 points and nine rebounds in a 75-67 victory over Knox on Feb. 6.

Sam Stevens
Track and Field

Sam Stevens raced to the best time of the season in the Midwest Conference in the mile run on Feb. 6 at the UW-Stevens Point Invitational. The freshman from Suamico, Wis., ran 4:29.55 and owns the best time in the league by nearly four seconds over Mackenzie Laska of St. Norbert. Stevens also owns the league's top time in the 800 meters and ranks second in the 3,000.
