Ryan Dunn
Men's Tennis

Ryan Dunn posted a big win in singles and helped Lawrence to a pair of dual match victories during the week. The senior from Fond du Lac, Wis., pounded UW-Whitewater’s Danny Glinert, the 18th-ranked player in the region, 6-2-6-1, at No. 1 singles this on April 3. Dunn teamed with his brother, Jason, and dropped a 9-7 decision at No. 1 doubles to Glinert and Kelvin Caiati, the No. 1-ranked team in the region. On April 2, Dunn beat MSOE’s Dustin Holzhauer 6-3, 6-2, at No. 1 singles and teamed with his brother for an 8-5 at No. 1 doubles as part of the Vikings' 8-1 victory over MSOE. Dunn also picked up a 6-0, 6-0, win in singles and an 8-2 victory in doubles in Lawrence's 8-1 triumph over Rock Valley.

Matt Frelich
Track and Field

Matt Frelich placed in three events to lead Lawrence at the University of Chicago Classic on April 3. The senior from Maribel, Wis., had a personal best in all three events as well. Frelich took fourth in the 400 meters in 54.41 seconds. He also grabbed fifth place in the javelin with a throw of 141 feet, 5 inches. Frelich took eighth in the 200 meters in 24.97 seconds.

Shannon Murray
Softball

Shannon Murray threw the first perfect game in Lawrence history in a 10-0 win over Alverno on April 1. The freshman pitcher from Lawrenceville, Ga., struck out five and didn't walk a batter in tossing only the second no-hitter in Lawrence history. It was the first no-hitter at Lawrence since Lauren Kost no-hit Finlandia on April 2, 2004. Murray also went 3-for-5 at the plate in the doubleheader with a double and two runs batted in.
