Track and Field
Nick Kerkman placed in two events to lead the Lawrence men's team at the Midwest Conference Championships at Illinois College on May 14-15. The sophomore from Mequon, Wis., placed sixth in the hammer throw with a toss of 144 feet, 5 inches. Kerkman also grabbed seventh in the shot put with a toss of 43-2.5.
Rose Tepper
Track and Field
Rose Tepper won her first league title when she took first place in the high jump at the Midwest Conference Championships at Illinois College on May 14-15. The freshman from Mount Vernon, Iowa, grabbed the title with a jump of 5 feet, 3 inches. Tepper was one of just four freshman to win a conference title at either the indoor or outdoor league championships this season.
