Clare Bohrer led Lawrence to a 2-2 record against four WIAC opponents and was named to the all-tournament team at the UW-Eau Claire Invitational. The sophomore middle hitter from Eau Claire, Wis., piled up 36 kills and had a .271 hitting percentage for the week. She also picked up 12 blocks, including four solo, and averaged 0.71 blocks per game. Bohrer also picked up three aces and eight digs. Bohrer’s best match of the week was a 10-kill, eight-block performance in Lawrence’s 3-1 victory over UW-Stevens Point. Bohrer had a .556 hitting percentage in that match.

Nate Nelson
Football

Freshman wide receiver Nate Nelson had a big day in Lawrence's 44-14 loss at Beloit on Oct. 24. The Waupaca, Wis., native had three catches for 111 yards and scored both Lawrence touchdowns. It was the first 100-yard receiving game for a Lawrence receiver since Derek Micke had six catches for 126 yards vs. Ripon in 2008. It also was the first multi-touchdown game for a Lawrence receiver since Micke caught a pair of touchdown passes vs. Macalester on Nov. 7, 2007.
