Women's Soccer

In a must-win game for Lawrence to make the Midwest Conference Tournament, Ehlinger scored twice in a 3-0 victory over Ripon on Oct. 31. The junior forward from Wauwatosa, Wis., scored in the 40th minute and again in the 77th minute to stake Lawrence to a 2-0 lead. Ehlinger, who was named the Midwest Conference Offensive Player of the Week, now has 10 goals for the season and 28 for her career, which moved her into fifth place on the Lawrence career list. She also ranks fifth with 69 career points.

Emily Muhs
Cross Country

Emily Muhs ran to a place on the all-conference team with a 12th-place finish at the Midwest Conference Championships at Beloit on Oct. 31. The sophomore from Janesville, Wis., had the best finish for a Lawrence runner at the conference meet since Joy Manweiler took 10th and Colleen Detjens was 11th in 2005. Muhs covered the 6,000-meter course in 25:20.83 and led Lawrence to a seventh-place finish in the team standings.

Sam Stevens
Cross Country

Sam Stevens grabbed a place on the all-conference team after he finished 18th at the Midwest Conference Championships at Beloit on Oct. 31. The freshman from Suamico, Wis., finished the 8,000-meter course in 28:18.77, and led the Vikings to a sixth-place finish in the team standings. Stevens was Lawrence's first all-conference runner since Paul Schonfeld took 14th in 2003.
