Marc Howe broke Lawrence's career goals record, and the Vikings recorded a sweep of Concordia (Wis.) to open Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association play. The senior forward from Cedarburg, Wis., tied the career record of 48 with an unassisted goal in Lawrence's 8-1 win at Concordia on Nov. 6. Howe then broke the record with a goal in the Vikings' 4-2 victory in Appleton on Nov. 7. Howe also picked up three assists on the weekend.

Football

Greg Pater recorded a career-high 16 tackles in Lawrence's 41-17 loss at Ripon on Nov. 7. The junior linebacker from Berwyn, Ill., topped his previous career high of 14 tackles, which he set against Illinois College earlier this season. The 16 tackles is the highest number by a Lawrence player since Tyler Krzewina had 18 against Ripon in 2006.
