Marc Howe had a big weekend to lead Lawrence to a Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association sweep of Northland. Howe, a senior forward from Cedarburg, Wis., was named the MCHA Player of the Week after scoring four goals and picking up two assists against the Lumberjacks. Howe, who was named the Player of the Week for the third time in his career, picked up his second career hat trick in Lawrence's 8-1 victory on Nov. 21. Howe also picked up a pair of assists in the game. Howe opened the weekend with a goal in Lawrence's 8-5 victory on Nov. 20. Howe was a plus-3 on Friday night and finished plus-7 for the weekend.
America McClure

America McClure was named to all-tournament team at the Lakeland Tip-Off Tournament on Nov. 20-21. The sophomore forward from Chicago, Ill., had a big weekend by averaging 16.5 rebounds and 6.5 points in two games. In a 66-49 loss to Lakeland on Nov. 20, McClure pulled down 23 rebounds, which is the third-highest game total in Lawrence history. It is eclipsed only by Carol Arnosti's 26 vs. Silver Lake College in 1981 and Robin Chapman's 25 vs. Silver Lake in 1983. McClure also had seven points, five steals and a block against the Muskies. In a 66-58 loss to UW-Superior on Nov. 21, McClure grabbed 10 rebounds to go with six points.
