Josh DeSmit recorded both game-winning goals as Lawrence swept a Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association quarterfinal playoff series from Northland on Feb. 25-26. The senior forward from New Hope, Minn., scored midway through the second period to lift Lawrence to a 2-1 victory over the Lumberjacks on Feb. 25. DeSmit then broke a 1-1 tie with a goal early in the third period that gave Lawrence the lead for good in its 3-1 victory on Feb. 26. DeSmit now has eight goals and six assists for 14 points this season.
Evan Johnson

Evan Johnson allowed only two goals, both on the power play, to help Lawrence sweep a Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association quarterfinal playoff series from Northland on Feb. 25-26. The senior goaltender from Suwanee, Ga., stopped 23 of 24 shots in Lawrence's 2-1 victory in the series opener on Feb. 25. Johnson followed that by stopping 29 of 30 shots in Lawrence's 3-1 victory over the Lumberjacks on Feb. 26. For the series, Johnson posted a 1.00 goals against average and a .963 save percentage.
