Shannon Murray led the team in hitting and picked up a pair of wins on the mound on Lawrence's spring break trip to Florida. Murray hit .481 (13-for-27) with five doubles, one triple, one home run and 11 runs batted in during the 10-game stretch. The sophomore from Lawrenceville, Ga., also posted a 2-3 record with a 5.25 earned run average in five appearances on the mound. Murray had her biggest game in Lawrence's 14-1 victory over Franciscan. She went 4-for-4 and blasted her first career grand slam on her way to a five-RBI game.
Robert Rashid
Baseball
Robert Rashid posted a strong offensive performance in Lawrence's spring break trip to Florida. In eight games, the senior center fielder from Evanston, Ill., hit .393 with two doubles, two triples and four runs batted in. Hitting in the lead-off spot, Rashid also was a perfect 7-for-7 on stolen bases. Rashid had his best game in Lawrence's 24-7 victory over D'Youville when he went 3-for-3 with four runs scored, two triples and two RBI.
