Cassie Burke allowed only one goal in two Midwest Conference road matches over the weekend as Lawrence picked up a pair of victories. The sophomore goalkeeper from Golden Valley, Minn., made three saves in a 3-0 victory over Knox on Oct. 2 to record her third shutout of the season. Burke then made four saves in a 3-1 victory at Grinnell on Oct. 3. Burke posted an .875 save percentage and a 0.50 goals against average.

Women's Tennis
Gayatri Malhotra lost a total of five games in sweeping a pair of singles matches against Midwest Conference South Division rivals. The freshman from Litchfield Park, Ariz., opened with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles over Monmouth’s Joi Henry. She teamed with Kat Valde for an 8-0 victory over Ashley Lawrence and Laura Harrison at No. 3 doubles. Lawrence defeated the Scots 8-1. In an 8-1 victory over Knox, Malhotra downed Molly Stein 6-0, 6-2 at No. 3 singles. She teamed with Valde for an 8-2 victory over Emily Tyl and Aimee Neilan at No. 3 doubles. On the season, Malhotra improved to 7-5 in singles and 6-5 in doubles.
