Alex Deshler posted a double-double in Lawrence's first victory of the season. In an 81-77 victory over Knox on Dec. 13, the sophomore from Onalaska, Wis., scored 17 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. In the four games Lawrence played during this time period, Deshler came close to averaging a double-double at 9.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game.
Peter Emery
Hockey
Peter Emery turned in his first career shutout in a 1-0 victory over Augsburg on Dec. 31. The freshman goaltender from Goleta, Calif., stopped 40 shots in the Vikings' overtime victory. During this time period, Emery had a 1-1-0 record with a .941 save percentage and a 1.96 goals against average.
