Women's Swimming
Hannah Gabriel won a pair of events at the Lawrence Triangular on Jan. 21. The sophomore from Elmhurst, Ill., grabbed first in the 100-yard freestyle in 57.12 seconds and swam to victory in the 200 freestyle in 2:01.06. Gabriel also teamed with Julia Heller, Jenna Budde and Chelsea Hameister to take third place in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:49.69.
Chris Siebert
Men's Basketball
Chris Siebert turned in a pair of outstanding games on the road. The sophomore guard from Baraboo, Wis., averaged 23.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.5 assists per game. Siebert scored 23 points, grabbed five rebounds and had four assists in Lawrence's 92-83 victory at Knox on Jan. 20. He followed that with 24 points, seven rebounds and five steals in a 98-74 loss at Grinnell on Jan. 21. Siebert shot 50 percent from the floor (12-24) in the two games and was perfect from the foul line (20-20). Siebert went 10-for-10 from the foul line in both games.
